For my Road Trip, I have decided to start in Washington and end in California. We will stick along the coast and stop at National Parks, Historic Sites and more along the way.
The first stop is Olympic National Park. The Forest is known for having many diverse plants as well as many diverse ecosystems. That will be a way to discuss different plants and ecosystems.
The second stop is Seattle, Washington. Seattle is the capital of Washington and helps show the diversity of Washington. For example, before this stop we were in the forest and now we are in the city. It will also be beneficial for learning about a city and how they function.
The third stop is Tree House Point. This is going to be more of a fun stop. It is a place in which you can sleep in a tree house, which is a lot of people’s childhood dream! It will be fun to show pictures and watch videos of the different tree houses as well as the nature around them.
The fourth stop is Umpqua National Forest in Oregon. This is another National Forest but is in a different state. This is an important stop because we will be able to compare the National Forests as well as their ecosystems and locations.
The fifth stop is Eureka, California. This is an old town with lots of history. There are victorian houses and there is a park, Sequoia Park, with lots of redwood trees. This will be a good stop to explain history and the history behind many places.
The sixth stop is the Golden Gate bridge. This is an important place to stop not only because it is a breathtaking view but because their is so much history behind it.
The seventh and last stop is DISNEYLAND. There is so much history behind this place. Not only is there history behind it, but it is also known as the happiest place on earth! This will be a great way to end the trip or in class lesson!
