Grants That Interest Me
One grant for teachers that I found interesting was the Elmer’s Teacher Tool Kit Grant. This grant is $100-$500 and will fund school supplies for high-needs schools. If I were a teacher and receiving this grant, I would use it towards supplies for a back to school craft. For the craft, each child would get to decorate their own pencil box using scissors, glue, stickers, markers and more. Inside This craft would encourage creativity while also getting the children excited about the school year. It would also be exciting to be able to give the children the supplies that they need at the start of the school year to start the year off right.
The second grant for teachers that interested me was the Target Field Trip Grant. This is a $700 that is to be used towards sending a class on a field trip. If I were a kindergarten teacher, I would use this money to bring the students to a hands-on learning museum, an aquarium or a zoo. This field trip would be an awesome learning opportunity for the kids as well as a great bonding time for the class as a whole.
